Why do men prefer dogs and women prefer cats?
Well the root of that preference comes from the days when men where hunter gatherers or labouring in the fields while women were at home, either pregnant or taking care of the little babies. The dogs went out with the men to hunt while the cats were at home, keeping vermin like rats or mice down to manageable levels.
